Music involves parts of the brain that include some of the “language centers” and many additional areas that processes emotions, for that reason, using songs and music in teaching English as a second language can help to create an excellent atmosphere for language learning.
Nowadays, technology has changed the way of teaching around the world. The free access to music is one of the benefits of this “technological revolution”, the Internet makes it possible to see millions of musical performances on online platforms and download if it is necessary. These resources bring a lot of possibilities for teachers and students to use music as a teaching tool.
Here there are three ideas for music activities to improve English language learning classroom:
1. Rhythmic exercises: Young students learn with short sounds or chants because they can’t read, just follow the rhythm and get fun.
2. Karaoke: The whole class can sing along with a song as the karaoke plays, or students can take turns performing their favorite karaoke songs for the rest of the class.
3. Song Lyric Visualization Videos: It is easy to create videos through phone apps as well as laptops, and students can express their creativity using songs as a resource for video projects to practice English.

I think it is the easiest way to learn English because I can listen to music that I like while I learn its pronunciation and what it says.

I really like music, and I think that with continuous repetitions of my favorite songs I can improve my English. I will also tell my dad to help me with a karaoke application to sing on my cell phone...... soy Xavier Gonzalez Cedeño de 8vo grado
